A Tang-period map of the stars preserved among the Dunhuang Manuscripts
This demo page introduces the earliest known Chinese map of the constellations, which Marc Aurel Stein found in the Dunhuang Cave, now in the collection of the British Library, and which is believed to have been produced at the beginning of the Tang dynasty (7th century A.D.), a period rich in significant works in ancient astronomy
